Branded scratch off cards for a Christmas staff giveaway.

Solution: Mix ‘n’ Match scratch cards.

Nissan UK were looking for a fun & festive staff incentive idea for its 8000 workforce at Christmas. They contacted Northstar due to our experience and track record of supplying quality scratch cards for some top brands.
Nissan’s intention was to use the cards as part of its Christmas ‘Thank you Pack’ which are handed out to all employees across its UK factories. The cards gave staff the opportunity to win one of 150 star prizes which were distributed amongst 8000 cards.

We produced the cards using our standard Mix ‘n’ Match range. With just two variations and no variable data requirements this was the simplest and most cost effective and solution. The cards are printed on a 300gsm board with a gloss laminate to one side which makes the design really pop and the silver scratch off panels are applied over.
Mix and match allows customers to buy different quantities of single variations. Therefore with this they purchased 150 x Winning cards and 8000 losing cards which they ten hand mixed together.
The client also required help designing the cards which we were able to provide with our in-house creative team. We took the brief from the client and created alternative designs before settling on the final design of a fun and bright scratch card with glittery backgrounds, creative typography and fun icons.
The game is an example of a match 3 icons to win style. This style of game is very popular with our customers as it gives a certain level of anticipation as the icons are revealed and counted to see if it’s a winner.
