The National Centre for Diversity (NCD) is a rapidly expanding and successful business delivering training and consultancy to businesses on all matters of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the work Place. The result of this expansion was the need for the following design support services:
- Realignment of the brand positioning
- Stronger communication of their core brand values
- Establishing of brand identity guidelines
- Creation of a communication literature style
- Development of interactive e-learning courses
The project covered the development of the main company logo plus a series of sub brands (relating to the awards that they have such as; Investors in Diversity. Leaders In diversity). Creation of a uniform corporate identity that covered the use of fonts, colours, marketing messages, images, Literature templates and a series on online E-learning packages.

Corporate Identity Design – Tooks Chambers

Tooks Chambers is a large, modern set of barristers united in their commitment to access to justice and representation without fear or favour. Founded in1984 their work has an emphasis on protecting the individual against the interests of the state.
We provided a complete re-design of their identity and its applicaion across key communication items such as stationery, information literature and case folders. The solution was to pursue a clean, uncluttered ‘logotype’ design. The typographic solution is uniquely ‘Tooks’ and was selected over proposals with symbols and logos, etc. The thinking behind this simple approach was that the Tooks name has gravitas and any frippery such as symbols would just be trying too hard.

Palm Financial Care are an East Lancashire based Independent Financial Services Company specialising in planning for care and your later years. They give quality advice and support for sorting out your financial planning, investment and protection needs.
Due to a refocussing of the business from general financial planning to services for focussed on planning for Care and old age, they required a logo that would present them with a softer, more caring appearance. The solution encompassed a loose hand drawn logo of an open hand plus typographic combination. The typeface and colours selected were carefully chosen for their friendly appearance. The result delivered is a friendly and approachable with a modern touch.

Novus Financial Services are a Harrogate based Independent Financial Services Company. They will look after all your financial planning, investment and protection needs.
Due to a change of name and relocation of the business they required a logo that would present them as a modern, trustworthy business. The solution encompassed a distinctive logo symbol and typographic combination. The colours selected were chosen for their fresher appearance rather than the darker/heavier colours often used by other Financial Services Companies. The result is a crisp clean look with modern lines but still retains an air of authority and trust.

Development of a Corporate Identity for a local financial advisers, incorporating; stationery, literature and website design.
Magnum Financial are a financial advisers based in Colne, Lancashire offering a wide range of financial solutions for personal and business customers. They required a professional, modern identity that incorporated a new logo but also a range of visual imagery that could be used to represent the varied nature of their business.
We developed a logo incorporating 3D pebbles or stepping stones – representing the varied nature of their business and their clients’ requirements. The identity is clean, modern and professional but also has an air of very friendliness and approachability.
The branding is further enhanced with the use of stone and pebble imagery. These are used to great effect on the website (http://www.magnumfinancial.co.uk/) where they convey strong marketing messages and benefits of using the company.
The website is a great example of one of our budget sites. Using WordPress, the site has a classic clean layout with strong imagery that ties in well with their logo. Additionally the site also features a full content management section for the client to upload and alter content to the website easily.

Creating a brand identity for a fine country hotel
This respected country hotel required an image of quality, luxury and elegance whilst also embracing modern trends and a demanding customer base. The implementation of a classic style with a modern twist has helped the hotel retain its traditional values whilst appealing to a whole new clientele. The branding and literature all play their part in delivering the new image promoting the hotel as a memorable venue to visit, relax and celebrate.

Re-branding of a family manufacturing business of outdoor building
This is a fine example of a branding exercise for a small local company with big aspirations. Heritage Garden Buildings is typical of many businesses. They have a great product and service, but realise that a growing business needs to project the right image. Our design is a neat example of a sympathetic typographic solution. With a little thought and creative execution a distinctive logo was developed that portrayed the right image of class and quality.
The branding is carried onto their website which features a classic clean layout with simple imagery that ties in well with their logo.
Central Lancashire City Region promotional literature
New brand identity and promotional brochure design and print.
When is living in the city the same as living in the country? When you live in the Central Lancashire City Region. The brief for Northstar was to create a brand identity and promotional brochure to extol the benefits of Central Lancashire as a city region.
Central Lancashire has all the benefits of both city and country living – with acres of unspoilt countryside within minutes of each of the urban centres. And for committed countryphiles the reverse is true should they wish a night at the Opera or some serious shopping to do.
The brand identity features concentric rings depicting coast, city and countryside. The promotional brochure picks up on these themes and colours in presenting Central Lancashire as a great place to live, work and do business.
