The ‘A Series‘ includes the following standard sizes: A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7 etc. The larger the number, the smaller the size of poster. Our large format posters are available from A3 to A0. The ‘A sizes’ are all based on a single aspect ratio of 1:1.41421 with each successive size in the series being half the size of the previous one. For example, an A2 sheet is half the size of an A1 sheet.

 Being based on a standard size system is important as it makes ordering easier and also more cost effective. Many of the systems and products used for displaying posters are manufactured to these standard sizes. For example, standard pavement signs such as ‘A Boards’ and ‘Spring signs’  are designed to hold either A2 or A1 posters. Small advertising boards or other types of display sometimes follow both the A Standard or the Imperial Measurement.
